the steamer chests have defects when assembled. ordered one, sent it back, ordered another style because the first was out of stock. it too also had defects. thats too bad. i will never order another product from hayneedle. poor quality products. and they are not hard wood. very thin and cheep product. buyer beware

This trunk is a great value. When I ordered I expected to receive a useful, well decorated trunk but did not expect the quality construction and finish on the inside as well as the outside. This trunk is incredibly solid, very attractive and is holding up well to daily use, which includes my 6 year old using it as a bench!
