We envied people who used old steamer trunks as coffee tables. We thought it was stylish and cool. Now you can get that casual playfulness without all the dings and scratches with the Pacific Trunk Coffee Table. Rich dark cherry wood gleams from underneath riveted leather trimmings, and the rounded black edges are a beautiful touch. There are leather handles too, and this trunk-table opens for lots of storage space. Round bun feet are the perfect base for this fun table. Simple assembly is required.

    We will be using this trunk as a coffee table in our main family room. We love the size and the style. It looks to be very well made. Its much darker in person than the photo online shows. It has a ton of storage that would be great for books, photo albums, games, or even toys. The safety hinge won't let it shut at all unless really pressed to do so. That's great if you have kids at your house. Its too soon for us to know if the finish will hold up well. Considering the prices of traditional coffee tables this one is very inexpensive and is unique. We love it - so far, so good!

        The only down fall is the smell of chemicals from the manufacturing process. Once the odor has dissipated I am looking forward to storing extra blankets and throws so that they are easily accessible and in a great looking trunk.

        The box is solid which I like, but the hinge for opening the top does not have a hinge lock which would be nice. we use it for our sons toys in the living room and if it closes fast it could seriously pinch his fingers.
