Delivery was prompt. Packaged well, but there is a chip right on the edge of the lid in front. I am not happy about that. Also, the parts & replacement procedure page says to include a copy of the invoice, but I purchased it online, so all I have is an order number, as I did not print out a copy. Please let me know if that is sufficient in order to get the lid piece replaced.

This was pretty easy to assemble, however, when I filled with odds and ends (clothes mainly) and I sat on the edge to congratulate myself I crashed right to the floor. The legs collapsed underneath the chest and the whole bottom piece of wood cracked. The legs are not attached to the body at all, only to the bottom piece of plywood. I would not recommend this for much storage. If you are looking for something to just sit there and look pretty this is your item but please beware to never sit on it.

I was looking for an affordable end of bed chest that would be big enough to store my guest air bed and the linens that go with it. I live in a city apartment, (so saving space is paramount), and I've been slowly replacing all the hand-me-down furniture in my home with things that fit into the decor I want-and this fit the bill! The furniture is as gorgeous in real life as it is online, [...]My only problem is that per the assembling instructions, the pieces were missing 11 holes! This meant that I was not able to assemble the chest as the manufacturer had intended and the piece of furniture does not feel solid in its construction. I'm not going to be moving the piece around a lot, or filling it with too much weight, and I'd already spent a lot of time assembling the piece and the package is so heavy, so I decided instead of contacting customer service I would just suck it up and deal with a less than ideal piece of new furniture. I'm not sure if little manufacturing errors like that are why Hayneedle is able to offer such discount rates-maybe it is. [...] Details on the missing holes: On the bottom piece there were supposed to be three holes on the short sides, (and three matching holes in each of the short side panels as well), but there was only one! I considered drilling my own holes to use the wooden studs needed to make the construction solid, but I was afraid of damaging the wood, so I decided to just let it be. Also, the instructions indicated that there should've been three holes in the top piece for each hinge-there were only two for each hinge.
